Hiking

Truly some of the Applebrook’s most loyal guests are hikers. We have been an Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) member destination since the doors opened in 1986.

Being in the White Mountains there are dozens of trails within a short driving distance of the Applebrook including many easy family hikes that include scenic waterfalls. We have a number of hiking maps, books and other resources available to plan a great hike. We have even know a guide that you can hire for both the beginner and advance hikers.

We are right on the Cohos Trail which is a great advanced hiking trail in northern New Hampshire. We are a re-supply drop off point for your Cohos trek, just call ahead to let us know the details on when you'll be hiking by to get your package. You can also stay the night in a warm bed if you need a break from the outdoors. A few hikers on the Cohos have enjoyed the hot tub rooms for a night or two before getting back on the trail. If you're not up for the whole Cohos Trail they have some great day hikes.
